Waterfront homes in Union County NC? There aren’t that many options. But Lake Providence, a neighborhood in the Union County town of Weddington, is a community built around two lakes. The lakes are owned privately by the homeowners who have lots on the waterfront.
Lake Providence has approximately 160 homes on over 200 acres. These estate-size lots are wooded and the neighborhood’s winding streets offer a lot of privacy. Neighborhood homes were built in the 1980s and 1990s and most are classic brick homes with traditional interiors. A variety of custom builders built homes in the subdivision.
Lake Providence has a voluntary homeowners association so the neighborhood is perfect for someone who prefers no formal HOA.

Lake Providence Real Estate Market
Four homes sold in Lake Providence in 2011. They were priced from $235,000 to $425,000 and ranged from 2907 square feet to 3767 square feet in size. Median days on market were 186. Three of the four sales were market resales and one sale was a foreclosure.

Lake Providence is located in Weddington NC, a small town with large lot subdivisions and a rural feel. Lake Providence is found off Beulah Church Road. The Wesley Chapel Town Center offers convenient shopping nearby withbanks, a gas station, restaurants, a Target, a grocery store and other shops and services.
