The more inspections I do, the more silly stuff I seem to find. I recently had the opportunity to inspect a property that had been inspected by another company. Sadly, the deal fell through because of the report.
So what killed the deal? Sometimes, home owners and "tradesmen" do not follow acceptable or best trade practices when making repairs. Items get put in the report, buyers and sellers dig in their heels and refuse to budge, an easy repair gets blown out of proportion and the deal heads south.
