Hunters Pointe Community Features

Landscaped berms on either side of Waxhaw-Indian Trail Road identify the Hunters Pointe neighborhood.  Hunters Pointe was built in two phases on both sides of the road.  The first section of Hunters Pointe has homes of more than 2400 square feet while the second phase has somewhat smaller homes.  Neighborhood homes were built in the late 1990s by various small custom builders.

Like other Wesley Chapel NC neighborhoods, Hunters Pointe has generous lots ranging from just under a half acre to three quarters of an acre. Walking trails wind through the neighborhood.  Community shopping is available nearby at the Wesley Chapel Town Center.

How did the Wesley Chapel NC real estate market fare during the second quarter of 2010 and how did it compare with 2009? 

The average second quarter 2010 sales price for homes in Wesley Chapel NC rose slightly over the first quarter prices but remained slightly below 2009 average prices.  The number of homes sold increase while days on market decreased slightly.

Wesley Chapel NC Village Commons is Growing Up!

A country red brick church.  Rolling fields of grain and woodlands.  Horse farms.  Do you remember when the intersection of Waxhaw-Indian Trail Road and Weddington Road in Wesley Chapel NC looked like that?

When the Village of Wesley Chapel incorporated over ten years ago, town residents decided that the Village would have a town center at this intersection.  They set plans in motion for the Village Commons shopping center encompassing three corners of the crossroads.  Today the church is still there but the fields and horse farms have been replaced by stores, restaurants and banks.

Construction at Village Commons is ongoing and not all storefronts have been leased yet but the number of shopping opportunities for nearby residents is impressive.  Here are photos of Wesley Chapel’s Village Commons and a partial list of businesses in the center.

How did the Wesley Chapel NC real estate market fare in 2009 and how did it compare with 2008? 

The 2009 Wesley Chapel NC real estate market reflected the market in Charlotte and surrounding areas.  Single family average sales prices were down about thirteen percent from 2008, an indication that first time home buyers dominated the marketplace.  The number of homes sold in 2009 did not change much from 2008, with only 7% fewer homes sold.  Time on the market decreased for Wesley Chapel sellers with days on market down 16%.
