Hunter Oaks is a large neighborhood of several distinct villages built on both sides of Rea Road. Hunter Oaks in Marvin NC It is located in unincorporated Union County NC between Marvin NC and Weddington NC.  The neighborhood has great access to shopping, restaurants and I-485 in South Charlotte.

How did the 2010 real estate market in Hunter Oaks compare with the 2009 market in the neighborhood?  The table below shows median values for several characteristics of the marketplace.  Thirty three homes sold in the neighborhood each year.

The median closed price in Hunter Oaks dropped 5.4% in 2010.  The median square footage of homes was similar for both years indicating that homes sold for somewhat less in 2010.  Median days on market increased 36.7% while the median list to sale ratio improved to 96%.

A short drive down Rea Road into Union County brings you to Hunter Oaks.Hunter Oaks in Marvin NC  This large neighborhood with entrances on both sides of Rea Road is sandwiched between Marvin NC and Weddington NC in unincorporated Union County NC.  The neighborhood is organized into several villages of different price points.  Community amenities include two swimming pools, tennis courts and walking trails.

Hunter Oaks homes were built from the mid-1990s until 2005.  Although some of the homes are in the 2200 to 2500 square foot range, most homes are larger than 2800 square feet ranging up to 5000 square feet.  Homes with brick fronts or full brick exteriors set among the mature trees and landscaped parkways create a very pretty neighborhood.  Some basement homes can be found in Hunter Oaks.

Access to shopping, restaurants and recreation in South Charlotte is a benefit of living in Hunter Oaks.  The Blakeney area with its new shopping center and big box retailers is a short drive away.  An interchange with I-485 and Rea Road provides easy access to other areas such as Ballantyne and I-77.
