A short drive to historic downtown Matthews NC and a location near two community shopping centers with grocery stores and restaurants and the Siskey YMCA make Matthews Plantation a great place to live. Matthews Plantation in Matthews NC This full-brick neighborhood of two-story homes and ranches was built in the 1990s.  Matthews Plantation has large lots with mature landscaping and a community pond, playground and tennis courts.

How did the 2010 real estate market in Matthews Plantation compare with the 2009 market in the neighborhood?  The table below shows median values for several characteristics of the marketplace. Five homes sold in 2010 compared with 7 in 2009.

The median sales price in Matthews Plantation fell 6.2% in 2010 while the median square footage of the homes remained the same.  The drop in median prices is due to that fact that two out of the five sales during the year were foreclosures.  Median days on market more than doubled in 2010 but the median list to sale ratio increased to 97%.

A full brick neighborhood on mature wooded lots just a short distance from historic downtown Matthews NC.  Add great schools and a convenient location just off Highway 51 near Sardis Road and you have the Sardis Plantation neighborhood.  Sardis Plantation in Matthews NCBuilt from the late 1980s into the 1990s, Sardis Plantation offers large and small homes as well as transitional and traditional floorplans.

How did the 2010 real estate market in Sardis Plantation compare with the 2009 market in the neighborhood?  The table below shows median values for several characteristics of the marketplace.  Nine homes sold in the neighborhood in 2010 compared with four in 2009.

Both the median closed price and the median home square footage in Sardis Plantation were dramatically lower in 2010 than in 2009.  When comparing how much the 2010 smaller homes sold for with the larger 2009 homes, it should be noted that the 2010 homes sold for more dollars per square foot than the 2009 homes.  This indicates a stable market in Sardis Plantation year over year.  Median days on market increased 21% while the median list to sale ratio dropped to 95%.

How did the 2010 real estate market in Brightmoor compare with the 2009 market in the neighborhood?  The table below shows median values for several characteristics of the marketplace.  The number of homes sold dropped from 15 in 2009 to 8 in 2010.  Median prices also dropped significantly by 13.5%.  Median days on market tripled while the list-to-sale ratio remained the same.
