The second quarter average sales price in Marvin NC rose 4% over the average sales price during the first quarter 2010 and 7% over 2009 average sales prices.  The number of homes dropped from first quarter sales.

How did the Marvin NC real estate market fare in 2009 and how did it compare with 2008? 

The Marvin NC real estate market is a small market because of the limited number of neighborhoods within the town limits.  Many of these neighborhoods are luxury communities and the 21% drop in prices in 2009 reflects the difficulty of the high-end market.  More homes sold in 2009 than in 2008 with total sales up 11%.  Marvin sellers sold their properties slightly faster in 2009, waiting on average only 106 days for a contract.
